History of Charter One Bank

In 2004, Citizens Financial Bank acquired Charter One.  Charter One is based out of Cleveland, now having branches in states such as Michigan, New York, Vermont, and more.  Even though they were bought out, they still have the same name today.

Today, the whole Citizens Financial Group has over 25,000 employees, and continues to grow it’s bank branches year after year.

Job Description / Average Wage

Banker: You will be in charge of running the window.  You will either work the drive thru, or you will work at the counter.  You will cash checks, make deposits, as well as assist customers with whatever issues that they may have.  The average pay for this job is $9 to $15 a hour.

Service Representative: You will work behind a desk helping customers with any bank questions that they may have.  You’re going to help set up savings, checking accounts, as well as CDs,  assist with mortgages, and more.  You will go through training under the Charter One policy.  The average wage for this job is $9 to $19 a hour.

Personal Banker:  You’re going to assist those with opening up new checking accounts, getting the mortgage process going as well as assisting with loans.  You’re going to help answer any questions that customers have as well as assist the bankers.  The average salary for a personal banker is anywhere from $12 to $18 per hour.

Team Leader: You will assign tasks to the employees working for the day, as well as help override transactions for any customer.  You will also assist with any jobs that need to be done.  You will answer to the main branch manager of the bank.  The average pay is from $44,000 to $55,000 a year.
