History of Champps Bar and Grill

Back in St. Paul, Minnesota, the first Champps Bar and Grill opened up.  Today, they are known for their burgers, and bar atmosphere, where you can enjoy sports games, and many more.  They have more than just a bar atmosphere, you can find all sorts of americana food from hot dogs to pasta.  You name it, they probably have it.

As this restaurant continues to grow, you may find a location popping up in your location.

Job Description / Average Wage

Server / Waitress: As a server / waitress, you’re going to serve your customers.  You’re going to take orders, ensure that the food is cooked to perfection, as well as make sure that they are happy.  You will answer any questions that they may have.  In your downtime, you may help in the kitchen, as well as clean around your section.  The average wage is $3 a hour plus tips.

Hostess: You’re going to seat your customers, as well as take reservations over the phone.  If the restaurant is busy, you will take reservations in store, as well as answer any questions that they may have.  You will also seat your customers when it is time to do so.  The average wage is from $8 to $11 a hour.

Cook: You’re going to work in the kitchen.  You can work everything from the line, to being the head chef.   You will cook orders to perfection, as well as ensure all orders going out meet the restaurant’s criteria.  You will prep food, clean the kitchen, as well as help out other chefs.  The average pay is from $8 to $12 a hour.

Manager:  Running the entire restaurant, you’re going to be responsible for making sure that the restaurant is running smoothly.  You’re going to assist corporate with hiring and firing new employees as well as making sure that everyone is doing their job during their shifts.  You’ll also be responsible for helping with various paperwork and filing.  The average wage for a manager can range anywhere from $30,000 to $45,000 a year depending upon the experience of the manager.
